Offering great bones for the beginnings of your dream truck is this 1956 Ford F100. 1956 was a unique year for Ford trucks, with this body design only being produced that year. Additionally, it marked the beginning of several more modern features including a 12-volt power system, electric windshield wipers and optional seat belts. It was also the only year of the larger wrap around rear window, a rare option which this truck is equipped with! It was originally built in Norfolk, Virginia with a 272 cubic inch V8. This truck is currently in the process of a full restoration, with a great deal of work already done to it. Upon opening the custom forward opening hood, you can see the Ford small block which is believed to be 390 cubic inches. It is sporting an Edelbrock Streetmaster 390 intake manifold, Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and air intake. Mated to the engine is a 3 speed automatic transmission. Coming out the back is an all-new true dual exhaust. The electrical system is powered by a simple yet reliable 12-volt alternator ready to meet the demands of the modern features in a resto-mod type vehicle, such as the power windows that are already fitted! It also comes with a new Air Conditioning compressor ready to be connected to the system of your choice. The brakes have been gone through as well, with front and rear disc brakes, a new chrome master cylinder and brake booster. The front suspension has been converted to a more modern control arm setup riding on coil springs. This truck still retains the factory style brass radiator, which is a unique touch getting harder to find. In the interior lies new custom leather seats, as well as new matching door panels. New brake and accelerator pedals are a nice touch, along with the new brushed aluminum steering column and shifter. All in all, a great deal of time and money has been put into this truck, making it a great blank canvas ready for the final touches to suit your personal tastes. It already runs and drives excellent, come in today and drive it home!
