1972' Ford Falcon Xy

This is a South African delivered MS40 Ford Ranchero ute. Originally delivered with a 302ci V8, the previous owner went the route of building a GT tribute. The engine has been replaced with a 351ci Cleveland 2V unit, mated to the original column shift C3 Auto box. The original diff has been retained. Both the gearbox and diff have been completely rebuilt, and are as new. The car has been repainted and is very presentable, but there are some blemishes. The underside of the body is painted with black stone guard paint. The rear load bed hasn't seen any hard work, and the panels are straight. The floors, sills etc are rock solid with no signs of rust. The suspension has been recently overhauled and the car runs straight and true. The rear has been dropped by an inch to get the stance a little better, but otherwise the suspension is stock. She is running on 14" Alloys with nearly new tyres.. The interior is original and in good condition. The standard bench seat was recovered at some stage and is a slightly darker shade than the door panels and dash. The vinyl floor mats have been replaced with a custom carpet set. The dash has one crack, and door panels and seat in very good condition. This car is in good condition, and whilst not up to GT spec completely, will take very little work to get her there. She is more than acceptable as a tribute and looks very similar to the Australian delivered vehicles. Now on NSW Historic Plates.
