This is registered in California as a 1932 Ford roadster.
The frame and front radiator shell are original 32 Ford. It was built in the late
seventies by Al Ebberoth and Dick Stritchfield at Stritchfield’s shop in Los
Angeles. If you don’t know, Stritchfield founded the L A Roadster club, one of
the largest hot rod organizations in the U.S.

The car is powered by a 327 Chevy SB with a Kenne-Bell 350
transmission. The rear end suspended with triangulated four-bars with a 57
Pontiac housing with positraction and a 4:11 ratio.

The body and front end were purchased from Pete and Jakes
first Temple City shop (no longer existing). The body is #16 from Wescott, one
of the first to be sold in the LA area. P&J only got three on the first
shipment and the two with trunks sold first. This body has the rumble seat lid
and is fully finished inside. Ebberoth built the aluminum hood and trick
locking mechanism.

The brakes are mustang disks that are ground smooth and
painted to match the car and frame. The steering and column is from a Mustang
also. The deep green paint is an 80’s Chrysler color.

Upholstery was done by Lanny Boeltl in Whittier, a rather
famous name at the time.

Current wheels are Eric Vaugh “Real Wheels”. These are
aluminum, cast in Halibrand’s original molds by Vaugn.

The car has been garaged through the last three owners. It
was built to drive and I have renewed its dependability. We just took it on a
Saturday car run of one hundred fifty miles with no problems.

It was a cover feature in Rod Action, April of eighty one. I
feel it’s a little too much car for me at this point although it is a blast to
drive and I would like to pass it on to someone who would appreciate its
heritage.  I’m asking 40k for the car and
spares.
