1929 Ford Model A Pickup The Ford Model A can be found in many iterations: coupe, to a roadster, to a sedan to a pickup. Henry Ford had a solid base in the Model A and appeased the masses with various options on that frame. Also, as with many older versions of cars, so many visual customization modifications have been done, that the original showroom look has been long gone. In the case of this car though, mostly original intent as well as actual visual parts to this build, have been retained. The beneficiary of an older restoration and having the opportunity to rest in his fathers garage for the last 20 years, this truck presents nicely. it shows some aging, but for an 80-year-old truck, its in very good condition. Exterior With its body utilitarian design, straight panels bathed in green and nice fenders covered in black it all comes together as a pickup. Overall paint has its faults with some rust spots particularly near the glass filler and hood hinges, and single annoying bubbles throughout, but it classified as fair to good. An older restored oak bed has aged nicely and is held together with metal rails running the length of the bed. Simple black wire wheels can be seen through to drum brakes painted black and chromed hub cover. A black vinyl visor and top is seen over the cab. Interior The non-perforated version of hardboard with a thin coat of black spray makes up the door panels. An older red leather bench stretches across the small cab. In the center of the green painted metal dash is the Ford mask style gauge cluster, and to its stage left is the original steering wheel which has been wrapped with a tape like product. On the floor is a simple rubber floor mat that is fairly clean. Drivetrain 4-cylinders in the 201ci form pump out 40hp. A 1-barrel carburetor is atop, and a 3-speed manual transmission is on the back. Undercarriage All nicely preserved with no surface rust in sight. Slight water staining on the underside of the bed boards, but the wood is still good! Nice green paint, and black accenting make for a well-done undercarriage. A stainless-steel exhaust system has been installed. Drive-Ability This truck drives like a truck! No power steering, power brakes, and simple suspension, which is part of its charm, and is certainly not meant to be negative. Overall good condition, and considering it sat for a while, it probably could use a fresh tank of gas.]
