Seller's comments about 1929' Ford Model A
This vehicle is located at our Indianapolis facility - 2461 Reeves Rd #194, Plainfield, IN 46168
This custom 1929 Ford Model A Hot Rod is an all-steel build that combines timeless style with extensive craftsmanship and modern performance. The body has been chopped 3 inches for a sleeker, aggressive profile, with a filled ribbed metal roof, tinted safety glass, and a three-piece hood that fits seamlessly into the design. Smooth running boards, original steel fenders, splash aprons, and a solid metal floor maintain its vintage authenticity, while custom steel tail light assemblies, a hidden gas tank cover, and shaved doors with discreet openers give it a refined, street-rod finish. The fold-out windshield adds period-correct flair, while the body was meticulously painted in individual pieces before being assembled, ensuring a flawless finish. The entire car is dressed in House of Kolor Candy Apple Burgundy, a deep, shimmering tone that brings out the details in every curve.
This hot rod isnt just about looks its built to perform. Underneath, its supported by a carefully engineered chassis and drivetrain, highlighted by polished chrome details, stainless headers, and performance-minded upgrades throughout. Every element, from the paint to the powertrain, has been chosen to deliver both show-quality presentation and dependable drivability.
Completing the package is a custom matching pull-behind trailer built by Bebops Glass Works and finished in the same Candy Apple Burgundy by Tom Schwietzer of Pine Bluff, North Carolina. Riding on a boxed frame with front independent Corvair suspension, power disc brakes from a 1966 Chevy, and Saab rack-and-pinion steering, the trailer was designed with precision and drivability in mind. A tilt-wheel with teakwood steering, stainless nerf bars, coil springs, and a removable Reese hitch add to its practicality and style. The trailer carries its own heartbeat in the form of a 1963 Corvette 327ci engine mated to a Turbo 400 transmission, stainless exhaust, Edelbrock carburetor, and countless polished chrome components.
The interior complements the build with reclining bucket seats, the original rear bench, burgundy cut-pile carpeting, and a two-tone gray and burgundy velour finish. Chrome accents, a Panasonic AM/FM stereo with cassette, equalizer, amplifier, dome and map lights, courtesy lighting, and upgraded speakers provide comfort and entertainment. Safety features include a kill switch, electric windshield wipers, and modern AC gauges. Weld wheels wrapped in Michelin X radials ensure both stance and stability.
Altogether, this 1929 Ford Model A Hot Rod with its custom pull-behind trailer represents the best of old-school craftsmanship blended with modern engineering. From its shimmering Candy Apple Burgundy finish to its Corvette-powered trailer and endless polished details, its a one-of-a-kind showpiece built to turn heads anywhere it goes.
