This 1931 Ford Pickup is a custom-bodied streetrod, but you already knew that from just one glance. Thats because the mean color theme, meaner stance, and rumbling V8 on display make this unique and intimidating. But as you dig deeper, youll see plenty of extra details that make this an even cooler cruiser. Matte black is always a great way to deliver pure hot rod flair. It shows off the clean lines of the fiberglass body. In fact, the body looks extra clean because the cab is a custom hand-built piece that gives you smoother lines than we often see. There are even nice details like suicide doors. There are plenty of classic Model T-style details on display like the bright grille and windshield overhang. Plus, the rear is pure rustic cool with the full barn wood style stake bed and a metal lockbox against the cab. But you know this build is a true hot rod with the Rocker Racing wheels with an intimidating stance and Mickey Thompson tires. And we love the look of the green on the motor that makes it look distinctive while saving the polish for the cool side pipes. The interior has the right custom hot rod cruiser style. It starts with the seat. You get the classic bench, but it has plenty of cushioning and seat belts to give you the right added comfort. The four-spoke steering wheel has a simple/classic style but with a smaller diameter for better grip. The color shifter is a Hurst Indy unit for a crisp action, and the dash is dominated by distinctive white-faced gauges. The overall theme seems to be a car that likes being a proper street machine, but it also does it with its own distinction... and that includes the engine bay. The green block stands out nicely against the rest of the black on this pickup. Its the color of choice for the classic Olds Rocket V8s that were a valued powerhouse on the original hot rod scene. The secret to this one is that its really a Chevy 307 small block. Its another great powerhouse from later years, and were even told this has been bored .30 over. It has been upgraded for power with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake, and headers feeding into the side pipes. These are baffles to make sure you get the ideal amount of rumble. There are also good supporting components, like an MSD HEI distributor, a newer starter, a newer alternator, and good belts and hoses. It makes for a strong powerhouse that you fully control with the three-speed manual transmission. Add in a boxed steel chassis, front disc brakes, and a four-link rear with adjustable coilovers, and you have quite a solid hot rod package. This is the custom-bodied hot rod Ford pickup that was thoughtfully built for plenty of power and personality. Call today!!!
