Seller's comments about 1928' Ford Model A Sports Coupe
Manufactured in Canada & shipped to New Zealand, this Model A started her motoring days, using the then registration Number VGU 281.
In 2007 She was shipped to England & finally Registered BF 5401 on the 12th April 2010, and was briefly owned and taken on a rally.
On July 18th 2011 dusty and hidden at the back of a disused chicken shed, I found and fell in love with her. So on the 20th July she became mine and was duly named Grace. Delivered to Simon Falmer, of Belmont Auto Services, American Car Specialist in Wincanton. He Fully serviced her & replaced her clutch plate, which the previous owner had welded the original one to the fly wheel, rendering her almost undriveable???
Other than some well deserved cosmetic fittings such as the Flying Quail, Step plates, Crank handle & more authentic number plates, followed by a Steam clean & good polish. Grace was finally restored to her original glory.
I have researched the Chasis & Engine numbers and based on the radiator shape etc this information conculded when she was manufactured and found she was in the 1st 500 produced. (These are my findings they have not been verified.)
