And this Ford Model A Deluxe Sedan from 1931 is exactly such a vehicle: a piece of lived automotive history that combines tradition, craftsmanship and honest mechanics. An overall picture that perfectly captures the elegance and pioneering spirit of the early 1930s. As with all Model A, the fenders were kept in classic black for manufacturing reasons - a charming detail that connoisseurs immediately appreciate. Technology that made historyThe 4-cylinder in-line engine with 3,300 cm³ and around 33 DIN HP (according to history 40 SAE HP) was a milestone at the time. The Ford Model A was the direct successor to the legendary Model T - and marked a technological and qualitative turning point at Ford in 1927. With a steel body, improved braking system and more modern driving comfort, it set new standards and led Ford from the era of pure practicality into a phase of more elegant, comfort-oriented automobiles. By 1931, over four million vehicles had been built - but the deluxe models were reserved for special customers. They offered higher quality equipment and were significantly rarer in this form. Our vehicle comes from the last year of production of the A series, the time in which the Ford Motor Company was already preparing the development of the Model B. The famous "slant windshield" was only found on some of the last versions - but this vehicle has the classic, vertical windshield and instead a color-coordinated sunvisor, which makes the entire appearance appear authentic but still a little more "sporty".
