For sale in our Scottsdale showroom is this outstanding 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe Restomod. Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to present this all American Pony Car beautifully finished in its original Wimbledon White paint color with a very nicely done red interior, also in the original color. This classic Mustang received an extensive professional restoration by Performance Associates in San Dimas, CA about 5 years ago. An original “A” code 289 4V car that has had all the right things done to make this Mustang a well done and tasteful “Restomod”. This car has all original body panels with very straight sheet metal and great looking paint in a high quality finish. The chrome and bright work are very good and all the glass is in great condition as well. Almost everything on this Mustang has been redone, replaced or refurbished.
This Pony Car retains a mostly stock appearance but under the hood lurks a 347 CID hi performance stroker engine that has been built with top quality components including an Eagle 4340 crankshaft, forged pistons and I beam rods, Comp roller cam, Edelbrock Performer aluminum cylinder heads and intake manifold, Tri-Y ceramic coated headers, full length exhaust system with Borla mufflers and a complete MSD ignition system.
The well-built engine in this Mustang is finished off with a Holley carb, Ford Racing valve covers, Cobra aluminum deep sump oil pan and a Cobra oval air cleaner. The engine sounds great with instant throttle response and lots of torque, they will know when you fire it up at the car show that this is no stock pony car! Putting all this power to the ground is a C4 automatic transmission with factory shifter, new 3:25 rear end gears and beefy BFG P205/70R15 T/A Radial tires on 5 spoke American Racing 15 “wheels.
Inside this fantastic Mustang you will find a very nice interior that has had many renovations. The following items have been replaced during the restoration: seat upholstery, door panels, headliner, carpet, dash pad, Dynamat insulation and more, the interior of this Mustang is in outstanding condition. The restoration also included new wiring harness, new alternator and starter, new fuel lines. The car has a Classic Air a/c system that blows ice cold, power front disc brakes and power steering. Tunes are provided by a replacement AM/FM cassette stereo.
