This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at the Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration Show 2025 on Saturday the 22nd of March - Sunday the 23rd of March, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT.Built in San Jose in 1966 and finished in Silver Blue with a black Vinyl interior, this is a C-Code Hardtop Coupé that was optioned from new with the 210bhp, 2-valve, 289ci V8 mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission, factory-fitted disc brakes and dealer-fitted air conditioning It remained a California-registered car its whole life (the US number plate is supplied) before being imported into the UK just in time for COVID (March 2020). Our vendor is the second UK owner acquiring the car as a Christmas present to himself in December 2020 (the first having imported the car into the UK)1966 M/ Y cars benefited from moderate trim changes including a new grille, side ornamentation, wheel covers, fuel cap etc. and the Falcon instrument cluster was discontinued, whilst the previously optional round gauges and padded sun-visors became standard equipmentWork carried out whilst in our vendor's possession includes the conversion of the reversing lights to indicators and modifications to the headlights to comply with UK regulations.
