Seller's comments about 1968' Ford Mustang
The ultimate US classic - Ford Mustang. The introduction of the Mustang in 1964 created a new class in the automotive world. The so-called pony cars are popular classics today and are probably the most famous US classic cars in the world.
The vehicle offered here with an electric top was imported from Holland as a partial restoration and underwent further optimization in 2022. This beautiful Mustang is in estimated condition 2, drives like a dream and is something very special as a J-Code model (302 cui engine) and as a convertible built in 1968. A beautiful paint job in Candy Apple Red, a perfectly matching black interior with imitation leather upholstery and a black hood, styled steel rims and a 3-spoke wooden steering wheel in Shelby look ensure the right look, making the car shine in the sun. For tall cruisers, a seat rail extension offers more space in the leg area.
This classic is powered by a rare 302 cui "Challenger" V8, which has comparatively more displacement and torque than the previously proven 289 cui unit. Including the double-pipe exhaust system, Edelbrock carburettor system and electronic ignition, you can also get a few additional "ponies" from the car. Such J-Code models are difficult to obtain, especially if it is an original J-Code model, i.e. an original delivery from the factory. By the way, an Austrian historical approval is already available!
Other features worth mentioning are: - electric convertible top - front disc brakes - brake booster - hood indicators - aluminum valve covers and matching air filter with a great look - new white-letter tires
The Mustang was further improved by the specialist workshop in 2022, including - upper and lower wishbones renewed - various rubber elements on the chassis - chassis measurement and adjustment - floor assembly cleaned and then painted black - exhaust system renewed - center console installed - new radio (USB/Bluetooth) including electric. Antenna and discreetly installed speaker boxes - and much more.
