Seller's comments about 1946' Ford Pickup

Youre looking at an American hero turned into an American superstar. This 1946 Ford pickup represented the return to civilian production after WWII, and today it has been restored and upgraded to be a glossy classic with a comfortable A/C interior and a powerful big block heart. Trucks went into civilian production even before cars after WWII simply because we needed these workhorses to get us moving forward. But as you can see today this pickups original mission was over, and it has been given a special assignment. Someone spent a lot of time and money erasing the workman past on this one and replacing it with a Harley-Davidson outlaw attitude. That means a cool orange and black color theme that really gets noticed. This distinction starts at the front where the deleted bumper lets you see that front end style that didnt stay long in post-WWII America. The unique style is furthered by the black grille, black trim, and all that custom pinstriping. In fact, speaking of the pinstriping, you can see this is part of a thoughtful total package that adds beautiful accents all over the truck. Even the Harley-Davidson logos on the doors are airbrushed on with quality. The running boards and rear fender are fiberglass for a smoother style on this sports truck. But this pick uneven loses that industrial toughens we all love...they just did it in subtle ways. The black slats in the truck bed use weathered wood. And the largest piece of brightwork on the whole pickup is the set of alloy wheels that remind us of the Alcoa units youd find on tractor-trailers. The orange and black attitude continues inside, and theres even more of the cool pinstriping, too. These might pre-date Fords F-series line, but this truck is more comfortable than many modern pickups on the inside. The custom leather bucket seats give you individual space, and they even have cool orange contrast stitching. There is a custom center console with cup holders and Kicker AM/FM stereo controls. Just above that are the controls for the ice-cold R134a air conditioning. You get a Grant GT sports steering wheel thats mounted on a tilt column, and beyond that is a dash full of upgraded gauges. While the engine bay got stuffed with big block power, they did take the time to make it show-worthy, too. The smooth firewall, polished components, and overall tidy presentation tell you this upgrade was done with care. It all makes for a great way to present Fords mighty 460 cubic-inch V8. It also has been upgraded with the right pieces, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a serpentine belt system, and an aluminum radiator. The V8 makes a nice grow as the dual exhaust exhales through Cherry Bomb-style mufflers. This is a powerful truck, but it was also built to be a true driver. Thats why you have features like the independent front suspension, a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, and front discs. You can easily imagine strapping your Harley into the back of this truck or just enjoying the big block muscle all on its own. Thats the versatility of a mean and comfortable custom. Call today!!!
