Seller's comments about 1968' Ford Taunus
For sale we have a beautiful collector's car Ford Taunus 15M P6 from 1968. V4 1.5 petrol engine with 65 hp. Recently, the vehicle has undergone a comprehensive and very advanced restoration.
Currently, it is owned by world-class photographer Szymon Brodziak. The Ford Taunus was specially restored for the Artist's Wedding. During the meeting over coffee, Mr. Szymon will share in detail his impressions and experiences from driving this phenomenal and iconic Ford with the future owner.
Perfect condition, everything 100% functional, after paint renovation 03/2023 (polishing and auto detailing).

Detailed description, including recent repairs:
ENGINE:
- heads - tightness check, planned, new valve guides and sealants, ground and lapped faces and valve seats, setting valve clearances
- engine block - tightness check, inserted new cylinder liners, new rings, new bearing shells and crankshaft grinding
- timing belt replacement,
- new camshaft,
- all gaskets and seals new
- chrome-plated valve covers,
- new exhaust system (complete - together with manifolds)
- cooling system - new radiator made to order, water pump after regeneration, fan bearing replaced, all hoses new, new heating valve, thermostat, temperature sensor
- lubrication system - new oil pump (together with drive) and oil pressure sensor
- replaced starter
- new engine mounts
- new fuel pump, new fuel lines, new fuel filter (additional check valves)
- another carburetor after regeneration and adjustment, replacement of choke and gas lines
TRANSMISSION:
- new clutch (new linings, grinding of the flywheel and pressure plate), new release bearing,
- gearbox: made a new main shaft under the Christmas tree, replaced bearings, replaced all O-rings, simmerings and seals
SUSPENSION:
- front - new shorter springs on request, shortened and regenerated shock absorbers, extended steering rods (after lowering), new bearings, new swingarm pins and bushings
- rear - springs, lowering pads, regenerated and shortened shock absorbers with new rubbers, new bearings,
- braking system - front: ground and galvanized brake discs, new pads, regenerated calipers; rear: reground drums, new brake linings, new pistons; all copper and rubber hoses replaced with new, new brake light sensor
- steering gear after a comprehensive regeneration eliminating play, regenerated tie rod ends
BODY:
- removed old layers of varnish,
- replacement of the front fenders,
- replacement of external and internal thresholds and partly floors in the cabin and trunk,
- replacement of the lower parts of the door trim,
- inserted rear fenders (external and internal),
- replacement of the rear belt under the bumper,
- made new spring mounts,
- reinforced stringers,
- new door hinges,
- anti-corrosion protection of the body and closed profiles,
- comprehensive regeneration of chrome.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:
- new bundle (ends and braids),
- new rear lamps,
- new front headlights,
- new front turn signals,
- new fuse box,
- installed alternator instead of generator,
- new battery and clamps,
- replaced license plate lights with original ones,
- all bulbs replaced.
INTERIOR:
- leather upholstery (also on the door panels and dashboard),
- additional headrests of the front seats modeled on the Jaguar E-type
- new soundproofing made of bitumen mats and soundproofing felts,
- new carpets throughout the interior,
- new headliner.
