Seller's comments about 1972' Ford Taunus
Hello.
Ford Taunus for sale, I will try to describe everything I know about the car to avoid calls like "please tell me something about it." I bought the car from a friend, an enthusiast of old Fords with a damaged head gasket.
The engine-head was checked for tightness, aligned and the camshaft bearings were replaced. At the same time, the water pump, thermostat, complete timing system, spark plugs, ignition finger, the engine was sealed and new fluids were replaced.
The N9 gearbox (5 speeds) is quiet, the gears shift perfectly.
Rear axle - quiet and dry
The front suspension was repaired a year ago by the previous owner: new Kayaba shock absorbers, springs, pins, regenerated steering rack, I only replaced the stabilizer links.
Rear suspension - you can see that it was done and is functional.
Rear brakes - new cylinders and handbrake cable, the linings were in great condition so they were left, everything was washed and adjusted
Front brakes - they were in great condition, I just replied. The flexible brake lines are in great condition, the metal ones have been replaced. The brake master cylinder also looks fresh. While bleeding, I replaced the brake fluid in the entire system.
The mufflers are like new, as is the fuel tank. All 4 tires are new, rims have been refurbished. The front lamps are new, the front turn signals were replaced with new ones 2 years ago. All the car's equipment is functional. The interior is in good condition, original and complete, the car plays a Blaupunkt radio with new speakers.
The car has LPG, fuel consumption ~10l
Third party liability insurance for 10 months (PLN 170 per year)
11-month inspection - the examination was passed without any comments.
THE CAR IS 52 YEARS OLD AND PLEASE REMEMBER THAT!
Now the CONS!
-Door bottoms need repair
-A few places on the bodywork that need repairs, it's mostly cosmetic
-Recently the central locking stopped working, maybe I will be able to fix it
-Sometimes there are problems with idle speed and the car may stall, it is a matter of adjustment.
-The temperature sensor doesn't work - I'll replace it when I have time.
-Shaft support needs to be replaced
