Decided to sell my 1948 Minx II project After a couple decades of hibernation. A project most suited for the enthusiast. The Minx II was the last offering of post War design from Hillman.
As the photos suggest this requires a Mammoth effort to restore back to former glory. Most of the car and its parts are in boxes.
Interior is junk, The seat frames are present. No roof lining, carpets, door cards, rear seats or trim left.
Engine was removed for inspection. Seized beyond economical repair. Engine and its parts are present. Gearbox is present.
Doors, Front wings and bonnet are in decent condition. Bootlid & rear wings are badly damaged. The bodyshell has potential. Rear floors & boot floor need work. Roof gutter rails need attention. Fuel tank completely rotten. Rear bumper missing.
The Chrome work and emblems are in great condition. I sourced a brand new front bumper that is still wrapped in wax paper and string. The bumper has the original invoice attached from the 1950s. Possibly 2 sets of hubcaps. Bonnet mouldings and wing whiskers are in good condition. Semaphores in a box.
New Lucas Red stop glass lens for bootlid in the original Lucas box.New King pin kit.
