Seller's comments about 1963' Jaguar E-Type

1963 Jaguar E Type 3. 8 series one OTS This E Type chassis number 878474 completed build from the factory on 31st October 1962, and was dispatched to New York on 7th November 1962 where it was sold by Jaguar Cars New York. It was originally Opalescent Silver Blue with Red Leather and Fawn Roof according to the Jaguar Heritage Certificate in the file. It is a Matching Numbers Car which indicates it still has the engine it was built with. It was converted to RHD around 30 years ago, and features Shiny Chrome Wire Wheels, Mohair Hood, and an engine bay carefully prepared including freshly painted frames when the engine was fully rebuilt in 2022. We have a very thick lever arch file with invoices and history from 1990 when it was first registered in the UK, far too much information to include in this advert, but some notable items covered within the file include;1991 Original Moss Gearbox Rebuilt2003 New Stainless Steel Exhaust2007 Replacement of Inner Sills, Rea Floor Pan, Cross Member, Front Floor Plans, Bulkhead repaired and welded to new panels. All Seem sealed and undersealed by RS Coachworks. 2010 Full Interior Re Trim – Including Hood, Chromes and Trims – The Trim Centre2014 Wiper Arms and Complete assembly replaced2014 Windscreen Replaced2015 Rebuild of rear Differential and Re-fresh Suspension including cage removal, replacement of bushes, drop links, ball joints, track rod ends2022 Triple HD8 Carburettor Restoration including Links and Pipes2022 Replacement of Manifolds2022 Complete engine rebuild by Thames Valey Repairs Ltd2022 Radiator Re-Core.This is an Impressive looking Series One with an impressive history file, and we have had it stored in our temperature and humidity-controlled facility over the last couple of years. It has had light use regularly and attended various shows in the summer months, and it really is a credit to the owner who chose the car very carefully from the outset and has taken care to keep it very nicely in his ownership.Viewing is highly recommended and any inspection is welcome.
