Very genuine original UK home market 'matching numbers' example with just 5 documented owners since new, last owner (who is the brother of a good friend of mine) has owned the car for the last 19 years
Original green Buff logbook is present, along with subsequent logbooks to keep a continuous ownership history on the car
There is a large history file with a big stack of MOT's going back to the 1970s and many substantial bills for work undertaken
Sympathetically restored in the early 1980s, when the colour was changed from White to Regency red and a complete new Biscuit hide interior was installed, the car has held up exceptionally well and the mileage of just over 15, 000 recorded is since the rebuild. The mileage recorded prior to rebuild was 68, 000 bringing the total mileage since new a modest 83, 000 miles
A fine example of the sought after Series 1. 5, retaining the smaller prettier lights above the rear bumper, toggle switches on the dashboard and push button starter. Other improvements to the earlier Series 1 models included the better syncro gearbox, addition of an alternator, improved brake servo and comfier reclining seats
