Welcome to Oldie Point! We are always looking for vintage and classic cars! We look forward to your offer! In March 1961, the Jaguar E-Type was presented and was reminiscent of the legendary LeMans-winning D-Type. 1967 saw the first revisions in design and technology when the 4.2 liter engine with 210 hp was introduced. In the 2 series from 1968 there were further adjustments, especially with the American market in mind, which made the E-Type no longer as sporty, but more comfortable. The example presented here was delivered to the USA in 1969 and imported to Austria in 1992. It was in the display of a car dealership in western Styria until 2005 and then came to its current owner. Since then, the vehicle has been extensively repaired and improved every year, little by little, so that it is now in its best shape. Of these very detailed documented works, one can highlight, among other things: conversion to European engine specifications with a triple carburettor and 3.07 differential, exchange for a km speedometer (current km reading since then), paint repairs and sealing, 2 -Layer cavity protection, new underbody protection, new lining of the interior and seats, new hood, new windshield seal, new fuel pump, complete overhaul the brakes, etc. The engine was also completely overhauled in autumn 2020 and is currently being run in. The car recently received a service with an oil change, carburettor adjustment, etc. This E-Type has been classified as a historic vehicle since 2008.
