Supplied new 01 03 1970 it was used and maintained regularly until it was entrusted with P & P Restorations (Pride & Performance) Autombile Refinishers in Lincoln for a documented sympathetic body restoration and full re-paint in original ‘Signal’ red at a not insignificant cost in today’s money of approximately £16000. Finished in its original specified colour from new of ‘Signal’ red with black leather interior this E Type presents beautifully. The unmarked highly polished paintwork is absolutely stunning with a gorgeous depth of shine protected with ‘Auto Glym’ extra protection set off with perfect renewed chrome wire wheels wearing excellent matching premium brand Avon tyres. The panel fit is exceptionally good, certainly one of the best we have seen. The original interior is a lovely place to be with full black leather seats. The under bonnet. As always one of the most admired views of an E Type is beautiful, obviously very well cared for and immaculately clean and original. The front subframe has never been re-painted, still wearing its original paint. The underside is exceptionally clean, solid and well rust protected with excellent sills, floor pans and boot floor etc.Acquired by the last owner in 2016 it has clearly been treasured with much money spent during his ownership.   Without doubt this is the best driving E Type we have had. Starting immediately on demand with just the slightest of choke it really is fantastic. Having covered just 90, 000 miles in 55 years the whole car just feel so tight and well planted with its gorgeous sounding 4. 2 six cylinder engine mated to its super smooth manual gearbox, a lovely light clutch and super progressive brakes.
