Classic Car Design presents this iconic Jaguar Type E Series 2 open-top. Powered by the famous 4. 2-litre XK straight-six—perhaps the best— it pairs a superb exterior presentation with a patinated interior that’s fully original, for enthusiasts who value authenticity.Out in the open, the bodywork wears a lovely “primrose yellow” finish, complemented by chrome wire-spoke wheels. All the chrome is in very good condition. The car looks fantastic. Structurally, it’s sound: the underbody is very healthy with no sign of corrosion. Hardly ever used by its current owner, the hood—as well as the cabin—is in original condition and shows a few minor imperfections, particularly around the side windows.The mechanicals are working very well, whether it’s the engine, transmission, suspension or braking. You really appreciate the straight-six soundtrack thanks to the stainless-steel exhaust. Recent work has been carried out, including on the brakes.More refined mechanically, the Series 2 is much more enjoyable to drive without losing any of the character.
