Seller's comments about 1971' Jaguar E-Type
Here we have a piece of British Sports Car history, at 50 years old this is a very early model (as evidenced by the forged ‘Jaguar’ logo on the rocker covers, not a sticker), right hand drive, manual, UK delivered matching numbers (on Jaguar heritage certificate) Series III E-Type Jaguar. The car has an extensive history file documenting the maintenance and renovation of the car including a recent (2019) total bare metal respray, bringing the car to the original delivered dark blue finish, with the original delivered matching leather interior. The engine runs beautifully with strong oil pressure, a new clutch and bearing were installed when the gearbox/engine were removed for the paint work. The car benefits from new stainless steel wire wheels, a new stainless exhaust system and further benefits from having stainless pistons in all the brake callipers. The independent rear suspension has recently been renovated (2020) to include new shock absorbers and springs together with new hand brake pads. New historically correct Dunlop SP sport tyres all round, original jack and tool kit round off this impressive car. All of the major work (way too much to list all the items here) has been photographically documented and all invoices (totaling tens of thousands of pounds) are contained within the extensive history file. Agreed insurance value of £70,000. The car has a full MOT with no advisories. A new project awaits so the car must be presented to a new owner/carer.
