Capots Vintage, specialists in sports and classic cars in Lyon, are offering for sale a 1960 Jaguar MK2 3. 8L:Launched in the late 1950s, the Jaguar MK2 quickly established itself as one of the most capable and elegant saloons of its era. Appreciated for its balance of comfort, sportiness and refinement, it left its mark on automotive history both on the road and on circuits.As evidenced by Jaguar Heritage, the model we are presenting is a 3. 8L version, delivered new in Paris by official importer Delecroix on 14 January 1960. Shown in an elegant black-on-black configuration, it is distinguished by its chromed-spoke wheels and yellow lights, creating a striking contrast. Historically, this vehicle has had only three owners since 1985.The engine, matching numbers (cylinder head and block), is fitted with two SU HD8 carburettors and paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. The braking system has been upgraded with the installation of a ventilated big-disc kit with 4-piston calipers.
