Daimler Vanden Plas 4.2 is one of the most exclusive variants of the Jaguar XJ Series II family. The best-equipped versions of the model were offered under the Daimler brand, distinguished by a richer finish, a characteristic grooved grill and much lower production than the corresponding Jaguars. In the case of the Vanden Plas version, we are talking about a car that, even when new, was aimed at the most demanding customers. The total production of Daimler Sovereign and Vanden Plas based on Series II was many times lower than the production of standard Jaguar XJs, which makes them very rare cars today, even on the British market. The offered example from 1977 looks very good compared to most British luxury cars from the 1970s. The body has no visible corrosion spots, the paint and finishing elements have retained a very good appearance, and the car remains complete.
