2001' Jaguar XJR 100

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Sir William Lyons’ birth, the Jaguar XJR 100 was introduced in 2001.
Only 500 were built and 82 were available for the UK Market. all in Anthracite exterior color with charcoal leather upholstery and 5-speed automatic gearbox. This limited edition model was based on the XJR (X308) and featured a supercharged 370 hp 4.0 litre V8-motor (with Eaton Supercharger)

Performance was mind-blowing for a large luxury saloon. 0-60 mph took 5.1 seconds and the top speed was limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).

Some XJ-history:
1968-1992: XJ Mark I: Series I (1968-1973), II (1973-1979) and III (1979-1992).
1986-2003: XJ Mark II: XJ40 (1986-1994), X300 (1994-1997) and X308 (1997-2003).
2003-2009: XJ Mark III: X350 (2003-2007) and X358 (2007-2009).
2009- …: XJ Mark IV: X351, which was a total change of style and marked the end of the famous XJ-body.

So basically the Jaguar XJR 100 was one of the last XJ Mark II-models, making it an even more sought-after model.

It features black metallic paint with black leather “autolux” upholstery. Red stitching featured throughout the interior gives a sporty touch complemented by the leather-covered sports steering wheel and MOMO shift knob. The grey birdseye maple wood is a sports variant of the tradional wood featured in XJs.

The heated and perforated sports seats are 12-way electric adjustable and feature three memory positions. The rear passengers can enjoy their heated seats and the elongated centre console.
Parking sensors, an Alpine audio system and DVD navigation system are the additional proof of Jaguar’s reputation of British luxury.

Jaguar XJR 100 in detail
The classic exterior lines of the Jaguar XJ are emphasised on the XJR 100 by sleek ‘Anthracite’ paintwork, while its purposeful stance is complemented by a new design of 19 inch, silver-coloured R Performance BBS alloy wheel. Called ‘Montreal’, the nine-spoke wheel is derived from a design first seen on Jaguar’s acclaimed F-TYPE concept car.
Powerful, cross-drilled Brembo brakes with silver coloured callipers and red Jaguar script enhance the wheels’ visual impact. Red wheel-centres carry the Jaguar ‘growler’ image and there is an XJR 100 badge on the rear of the car.
Electrochromatic, power-fold and heated door mirrors are added to the exterior feature list of the standard XJR, which includes mesh front grilles, front fog lamps, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, heated windscreen and rear window, central locking and reverse park control.
Inside, distinctive red contrast stitching enlivens the XJR 100’s soft, ‘Warm Charcoal’ Autolux leather sports seats, which have a perforated finish to their centre panels. The 12-way adjustable driver’s seat has a three-position memory and both front and rear seats are heated.
