Seller's comments about 1953' Jaguar Xk120

For sale is this 1953 Jaguar XK120 DHC, ideal for an interesting restoration project. Jaguar XK120s are beautiful, elegant, aggressive cars with a successful history. DHC stands for Drop Head Coupe and this variant of the XK120 was produced between 1953 and 1954, with only 1, 765 units built. The DHC version had a more sophisticated design than the XK120 OTS. It was equipped with the luxurious interior belonging to the RHC, a padded and lined folding roof, and roll-up windows. The X engine, which stood for eXperimental, was developed after World War II. After several attempts, the K version was arrived at, a 3, 442 cc inline six-cylinder with 160 bhp, mated to a 4-speed gearbox, which enabled the Jaguar XK120 to achieve extraordinary success in motor racing. The car we offer for sale has a completely tin-plated body, primed and ready to be painted.
In addition to the bodywork, other work has been carried out, such as: - Engine rebuilt in Great Britain - Transmission overhauled - Instruments overhauled - Dashboard woodwork regenerated The car has left-hand drive, correct engine, chassis in very good condition, original convertible top structure, chrome parts and other parts (see photo parts). Viewing recommended. On request, we transport to destination.
