New Elms Classic offer for sale this special "matching numbers" Jaguar XK 140 FHC, on behalf of the owner. First time on the market since 2001, this car was subject to a complete ground up restoration in the early 1990's, costing over £65, 000. IIn 2001 it had a fresh set of MWS 6" x 15" 72 spoke 'E' Type wheels. In 2003 the car benefited from a full engine rebuild, and other improvements including a 'C' type head, unleaded valve seats, new valves, springs, pistons ( + 20 thou. ), liners, bearings, chains, oil pump, water pump, lightened/ balanced flywheel, balanced bottom end, new clutch, S. U. H8 2" carbs and stainless steel 'big-bore exhaust system, servo front disc brakes, negative earth/ alternator conversion, twin contact distributor, limited slip differential with higher ratio final drive, aluminium coolant header tank, Kenlow fan and separate rear flashing indicators. British Racing Green with Suede green leather interior upholstery. Whilst this car is not 'concours' , it is a fine example that has had regular use and proper maintenance over the last 25 + years, and it also has many worthwhile upgrades and improvements.
