Seller's comments about 1957' Jaguar Xk150
Jaguar XK 150 Special Equipment (SE) RHD 3.4 Fixed Head Coupe (1957)
Matching numbers, ex-dry climate, Special Equipment model now benefiting from a fresh, professional restoration. Finished in British Racing Green with recent re-trim in black hide, new woollen carpets and 16" body coloured wire wheels.
Body number J 7046 (the 45th Fixed Coupe built) supplied as a left hand drive car for the export market and dispatched (October 1957) to Jaguar Cars New York dealership. Registered new with a black plate (California) the Jaguar remained in the United States being repatriated in 2012, restored and converted to right hand drive. A full mechanical restoration with upgrades, commissioned by the current owner, was undertaken by marque specialist (Guy Broad, Coventry) to a detailed and exacting standard.

Mahle forged pistons Grants ring set, lightened flywheel with diaphragm clutch kit, rear crank lip seal conversion, high flow oil pump, gas flowed head converted for unleaded use, re-built SU HD8 2" carburettors, 150S specification updated valves/springs, six branch competition type manifold with new stainless steel exhaust system, new fully braided wiring harness, full Broadsport electronic distributor kit, high torque starter, Facet fuel pump, alloy fuel tank, re-cored radiator, AVO adjustable front and rear shock absorbers, updated brakes with servo, new three point static seats belts with chrome buckles.
New Broadsport five speed gearbox conversion (spare Moss box supplied). All original panels with fresh paintwork.
Complete with British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate, UK V5 registration, fully documented/photographic record of restoration.
