Raer & innovative, Jowetts use of a horizontally opposed pair of cylinders set them apart from the competition. IN oder to prove this Jowett sent two cars named "wait" & "see" to west Africa in the 1920's & proceeded to drive them ever eastwards until they met the red sea; a journey taking some 60 days.
This particular example is in fine order having had new pistons fitted not many miles back & the cylinders rebored etc. The engine starts readily, usually on the first turn of the handle & is a surprisingly sprightly performer given the light body work.
Smartly finished in two shades of grey, the car sits on artillery style wheels. To the interior is Black leather, the hood of cream canvas. There are plenty of brass bits to keep one busy on insomniac evenings. To the rear is a useful boot for picnic requisites etc.
On the road the car is a pleasure to drive. Steering is light 7 direct, suspension soft due to the light weight & the car more then holds its own amongst B road traffic. It affords simple & reliable vintage motoring.
