This car has received much work over its life, latterly following conservation principals. First two owners were Greek shipping magnates. This is the same model as owned by the Late Duke of Edinburgh. Sills renewed and steel portions of doors renewed: re-sprayed with Cellulose, new hood and lining in 1980's. Rear indicators thought to date from 1960's. Extensive receipts spanning all decades. Recent work undertaken by post-war marque specialist: Lacock overdrive fitted, converted to floor change from donor vehicle, lightened flywheel on uprated clutch, new drive chains, uprated brake shoes, new baffled non-ferrous fuel tank, overhauled steering rack, additional trunion grease points added, re-cored radiator, overhauled heater with cut off, alternator conversion, new cables, hoses, gaiters and nickel plated breather pipe. Uprated fuel pump, uprated servo, detachable tow bar. Hazard lights incorporated, front indicators integrated into side lights. Engine detailed from archival research. Original hose clips used or stainless steel reproductions. Records show the car has spent more time laid up than on the road and thus timber frame elements are in perfect condition (preservatives used). Inside panels, rear of chrome and underside extensively cleaned and oil rig spec. preservatives used. Detailing of wheel arch/ chassis dirt guards improved. Much new chrome, original over-riders, spare chrome and many spares from donor in store including windscreen, gauges, diff. and gearbox. Recently restored original dashboard using period veneer from donor car. Fitted with period correct Michelin-X radials, stainless steel rimbellishers. Seatbelt fitted by SBS, London. Reproduction period plates, Reproduction steering wheel. Fitted with Amp and speakers to mate with IPod, 12V socket under dash and in boot. Original chromed Jackall handle, correct small tools in reproduction roll from an original as pattern. period advertising material, brochure and road tests.
