First registered on 28th July 1928, a letter from the Lagonda Club advises this example passed through the hands of Dobsons of Staines (Lagonda's outlet for trade-ins) in 1934, and by 1948, was owned by F R Ponsford-Jones of Co. Meath.
In absolutley beautiful condition throughout. This car was meticulously restored some years ago by its former owner, an aircraft A & P mechanic. Since then it has seen sparing but regular use.
The twin overhead cam engine is in fine condition & when allied to such a light body gives considerable performance. The body is a fabric covered 4 seat tourer with full weather gear for inclement days out.
To the interior is burgundly hide to all seating surfaces, in beautiful condition with matching maroon carpets to complete the ensemble. All the above contrasts well with the black painted bonnet, wings & black fabric covered body. The car is in show winning condtion as evidenced by being a previous winner of the Robbie Hewitt Trophy for best Lagonda at Brooklands.
The dash board carries a full set of its period instruments. A large Nickel klaxon is fitted under the bonnet as is the correctly working autovac unit. All in all a lovely vintage tourer with a surprising turn of speed, well able to run in modern traffic.
