Lancia Flaminia ‘Touring’ 2. 8 Litre 3C Convertible, year 1966. First registered on 2 June 1966. Chassis (VIN) number: Lthe details belowIGM2430OM. Finished in grey (Grigio) metallic with a red leather interior and grey carpeting, this wonderful Lancia Flaminia ‘Touring’ 2. 8 3C Coupé was delivered new in the Netherlands. The car is in good, sound condition and has never been fully restored. The bodywork was repainted in the past, while the interior, engine bay and boot still display their factory-original details, along with honest signs of age and previous use. Recently, the carburettors were cleaned and adjusted. On the road, the car immediately demonstrates the brilliance of post‑war Lancia engineering. The powerful V6 delivers a wonderful soundtrack, and the gearbox shifts with a smooth yet satisfyingly robust feel. This 1966 example is one of the last Flaminia Touring cars built, equipped with the most powerful engine in the range: the 2. 8‑litre V6 with three carburettors (3C), producing 150 bhp. Lancia has always been an engineer’s marque, and the Flaminia showcases several of the firm’s ingenious technical solutions. Most notable is the transaxle layout, with the gearbox mounted in unit with the rear axle to achieve an ideal front/ rear weight distribution, pure racing technology, beautifully executed. With its elegant Touring ‘Superleggera’ aluminium bodywork, this Lancia Flaminia is a striking and highly desirable motor car. A superb find for the dedicated Lancia enthusiast or collector.
