The coupe version of Lancia Fulvia was introduced in 1965. It featured Zaccone Mina's trademark 12-degree V 4 engine placed at a 45-degree tilt in front of the transaxle. The ensuing lowered center of gravity was independently suspended via wishbones with single leaf springs at the front and a beam axle with Panhard rod over leaf springs at the rear. The first series was produced from 1966 to 1969 and was offered in street and HF (High Fidelity) competition oriented versions with 1. 2, 1. 3 and 1. 6 lt engines. In 1970 the Series 2 was introduced featuring a revised 5-speed gearbox and larger more efficient Girling brakes. Notably 20 Fulvias were used by Squadra Corse team to establish Lancia's triumphant return in motorsports by winning the International Championship for Manufacturers with epitome victory of Sandro Munari's and Mario Mannucci's car at the 1972 Rallye Automobile de Monte-Carlo. The Series 2 Coupe 3 offered was produced in 1975 in Dover White exterior over Nero leatherette interior for its first owner in Athens, Greece. Four decades later it was acquired by a Lancia Fulvia collector who had the car extensively restored from the grounds up. The body was sand blasted to bare metal and fitted with new alloy lids, alloy doors and steel floors to be finished in the original Dover White. The engine, steering, suspension, brakes and electrics were overhauled to as new condition. The 2 year long process was awarded in 2019 Concours d’ Elegance and tested in local exercise regularity rallies in 2023. The car is offered in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition throughout and comes with a comprehensive file of bodywork photos as well as invoices from most reputable part suppliers in Europe and US.
