1979 Series III Land Rover 88” Petrol 2.25 litre
Desirable petrol version
MOT until 12th August 2018 with no advisories

Good tyres all round (including spare)
Will be tax & MOT exempt from 2019
It has had lots of work over the years, but the chassis, outriggers and dumb irons are all sound as they have been repaired at some point in the past. The bulkhead has been plated at the top but appears sound as does the bottom and the footwells are good.
The bodywork is very straight for its age but clearly has been repainted white at some stage – not the greatest finish…
It has the desirable ‘Cat Flap’ hard top which is in need of a coat of paint, but is structurally sound.
It runs well with a nice tight gearbox which doesn’t jump out of gear but does have the usual Land Rover whine. All 4wd controls seem to work well.
Being a 1979 model it does benefit from servo-assisted brakes which are rather more useful than the earlier models.
Inside it is all fairly original except for newer Defender-type seats.
