Seller's comments about 1977' Land Rover Lightweight (Air Portable)
Motodrome are pleased to offer this very smart 1977 example of the ever-popular Land Rover Lightweight (Air Portable) 2.25m petrol.
Since leaving military service in 1998, this one has had just 4 previous owners, who have lavished a good deal of time and effort to make it the example you see here, and it comes with a very nice history file.
Fitted with a brand new Exmoor Trim hood, acoustic matting to the front compartment, seat belt bar with inertia reel belts, 3 new seats across the front, and a matching set of 750x16 tyres. Professionally converted to unleaded fuel and to a 12V ignition system (from the original 24V FFR) in 1998. Also fitted with a new rear crossmember with extensions.
Bulkhead and outer panel wise it’s really good and totally straight dent-free shape.
With an odometer reading of 96000 miles, It comes with MOT to October 2017 (no advisories) and 6 months warranty on sale (if sold in the UK). It's now been given a full ignition system service and new starter motor, to eradicate the starting problem as shown in the video on our website, and is now fully ready to go.
