1948' Land Rover Series 1
Vehicles like this don’t come on the market very often, at present I don’t think there is another 1948 available on the UK market.
The first 3000 vehicles were made with a silver chassis, ring pull gearbox, lights behind the grille as the most distinct features.
In very good condition including the correct 1948 tailgate, wire door top hinges, open rear crossmember with 2 holes for the PTO.
The rear tub is remarkably straight and original in the back and doesn’t show any signs of hard use.
The bulkhead is solid and great condition. The chassis is original and has been restored to a very high standard. This vehicle is one of the rare silver chassis models which were only manufactured for a very short period of time.
The vehicle has had a complete set of front seats from Exmoor trim and are the correct square back for the age of vehicle.
The engine bay has been detailed and finished to a very high standard. The 1.6 engine is the correct type for the vehicle.
