So, this little gem was subject to over 250 hours of professional garage time back in 2009. At this time it was apparent that the chassis was shot so a brand new quality Marsland galvansied chassis was purchased and fitted to ensure longevity. The bulkhead which is an area notorious for rot was repaired, shot blasted and galvanised dipped. It really is rare to find one with these two important upgrades.
Engine is the 2l petrol that starts first time and runs as it should. This is possibly the sweetest engine I've witnessed. Literally touch the key and it fires up. Pulls better than any 2. 25 in the Series 2s and 3s. This is the sign of a super fit engine.
Since we've had it, we have done some light restoration work. This included careful work to the cappings to give them the patina it deserves. Also 2 new bench seats and mats.
