Land Rover Series 1 80" Lights Behind Grille Project
1950 model year. First registered 17th November 1949.
During his ownership it has always been barn stored awaiting the day of recommissioning which was started however due to personal circumstances and other commitments was unable to complete. When he acquired the vehicle it had been off the road for 20 years. This would make a fantastic restoration project and comes complete with the modern V5c and all other previous log books including the buff. This vehicle is a fraction of the price of a fully restored example so if somebody is willing to finish it there will be a reward. The original registration number is JWR 918.
The original type of 1595 cc engine is still fitted to the vehicle and is in running order.
This vehicle is very correct for a 1950 model the correct side lights are in the bulkhead, internal door handles with canvas flaps, narrow springs all round, the dash is extremely unmolested and original, seats, small choke, hand throttle, smiths heater, Rare green land rover badges, correct for the model. It comes complete with spare parts.
The bulkhead is solid, as is the chassis and requires no work. This vehicle in our opinion would recommission as a usable vehicle or would make a perfect donor vehicle for a full restoration.
There aren't many good honest projects come on the market let alone a vehicle that has almost been completed.
