Seller's comments about 1962' Land Rover Series 2 A
For sale is my 1962 Series 2a, 2.25 petrol 88" open top Land Rover.
I am the 4th owner in 54 years. The car has spent all it's life on a farm in Wales as far as I can gather and has only covered 16,000 miles. It is in very good condition and drives perfectly. It pulls like a train up hill and is very at home across the fields.
It has overdrive giving a bit more power. New canvas roof. It has a full years MOT.
It has some history and a few interesting photos of it's past life. I have recently put a full exhaust system. from front to back at a cost of £600.00 and have had some welding done to the rear suspension. It has also had 2 new tyres on the back and new fuel pipes. It also had new clutch cylinders and pipes fitted last year. A few faults include the fuel gauge and speedometer not working.
It really is a good strong car otherwise with the classic early grill mounted headlights. Please contact me for any questions.
