1961' Land Rover Series I

Land Rover Series 2 88" Soft Top Restoration Project 1961
On offer is a very nice patina Series 2 restoration project despatched into the factory 8th December 1960 and completed on 30th December 1960. The vehicle was first registered 4th January 1961 by Midland Autos Leamington Spa.
We have had the vehicle for 3 and a half years in dry storage and with a change of plans are not going to get round to doing all of these vehicles.
A nice project vehicle with nice history and in an original sound condition. Shows 54k which would appear to be genuine. Both RF type log books are present. The vehicle is also now registered on a new style V5 with the original number 6274 UE.
Chassis number the details below Engine Number the details below. Rear crossmember past its sell by date but the rest of the Chassis is fine as is the bulkhead. Brakes and pipes will need replacing. Nice Warwickshire Registration number 6274 UE being registered new in Leamington spa and was owned new by a Major Kettle the high sheriff of Warwickshire. The engine runs on a jam jar but I have no idea about the rest of the drive train as the pedals are disconnected. This has 3 owners and has always lived in the Radford/ Bishops itchington area. Fitted with a new Genuine hood. A great project vehicle that would look great with a polish. It looks like it's been dry stored for at least 20 years. Engine sounds ok but it needs a water pump and checking over.
Untouched projects like this are getting harder to find and this will make a great vehicle once done.
