First registered 16/ 07/ 1959 UK home market RHD Series 2 88 inch basic.
A lovely example of a very well maintained and recently restored Series 2 that’s been subject to a full professional nut and bolt restoration back in 2019 and only 700 miles since completion.
Work began with a new Richards galvanised chassis and a professionally refurbished original bulkhead, tub, and inner wings as well as new doors and door tops before being etched primed and painted in period correct pastel green. (heritage certificate shows it was originally mid grey)
An extensive mechanical overhaul including a fully reconditioned 2. 25 petrol engine with unleaded head conversion as well as all new pistons, big end and main bearings.
New gearbox using OEM parts as well as a new transfer box with OEM parts, all new prop shafts, brakes, clutch (LUX hydraulic). Steering box rebuilt with all new joints as well as an Autosparks wiring loom and many other new or refurbished parts. Lots of original parts have been maintained and restored.
Annual service completed in August 2023 and fresh MOT with no advisories valid until 7 December 2024.
This lovely Series 2 drives great and is now ready for its new owner to enjoy.
