Seller's comments about 1975' Land Rover Series III

The Series III is the most common of the series vehicle, with over 440, 000 built from 1971 to 1985 and was the first model to feature synchromesh on all four gears. This lovely example in classic Bronze Green was first registered in 1975 and spent its life in South Africa, before being imported into the UK in 2025.Presented in 88” 7 seat Station Wagon configuration with a Safari Roof, Alpine roof lights, rear sliding windows, split opening rear door and rear mud flaps. It features a petrol 2286 engine fitted with the popular Weber carburettor and is also fitted with MAP freewheeling front hubs. It also features twin petrol tanks for longer range driving, in addition the rear compartment is fitted with twin 20 litre Jerry cans secured in a custom made frame. Recent improvement works include, fitment of new front seatbelts, steering box, electric fuel pump and heavy duty battery. The speedo reads 94, 275 kms (approximately 58. 5k miles). The car has previously been restored with the chassis, bulkhead and bodywork all in excellent condition. Additionally, the underside has recently been given our comprehensive preservation treatment. The interior has been custom made and features an adjustable 3 seat bench upfront, with 4 individual fold down seats in the rear. All are trimmed in the same matching tan leather and with the rear floor attractively decked out in varnished wood. The wheels are refurbished OEM 16” wheels all round including the spare, fitted with barely used matching BF Goodrich All-Terrain tyres.Registered as an “Historic Vehicle” on the registration document, it is Road Tax, MOT and ULEZ exempt. However, the car was put through an MOT, which is valid until September 2026.Series 3 Land Rovers have become increasingly popular and this example provides a great opportunity to own a beautifully presented and very solid example of this iconic vehicle, that’s ready to use and enjoy. Please visit our website to view the full description including more than 80 HD photos, or alternatively please give us a call for a chat.
