Michelin 750 4×4 tyres with Matching Bonnet Mounted Spare. Recent Sand Canvas. Side Opening Tailgate. Recent Bumper. Deluxe Interior – Deluxe Seats, Door Cards, Sound Deadening Kit & Seat Belt Bar with Roll Over Protection. Rear Bench Seats (seating for seven). Rear Steps. Rear Mud Flaps. Tow Bar and Electrics. We are delighted to present for sale this 1975 Series 3 Land Rover, finished in the popular Mid Welsh Grey colour scheme with Limestone Wheels & Sand Canvas. This particular example has had many improvements over standard to make ownership a more pleasant experience… read on below.Externally, as the photos show, this really is a handsome Series 3 – there are many details a new owner would hope to see on a “good” Series – the vintage number plates, rear grab handles, rear mud flaps, Michelin 4×4 750 cross climate tyres with matching bonnet mounted spare, colour coded lamp surrounds, recent bumper and canvas, larger defender style mirrors for superior visibility whilst driving… and a tow bar with modern electrics should this vehicle be needed to tow a trailer. On the inside, there are three front deluxe seats, with deluxe matting to the footwells and door cards to the front lower doors. The added benefit of a seat belt bar with integrated roll hoop means”plug and play” 3 point belts for the driver and passenger. The rear houses twin bench seats and the canvas with side windows improves visibility and gives a station wagon feel whilst driving. This particular example also benefits from a very new (and at this moment not mass produced) rubberised, sound deadening kit which makes a huge difference whilst out driving, and protects against scratches and dirt – this makes all the difference to both ownership and the driving experience. This is about as luxurious as a period looking interior can really be – and it can carry all the family in relative comfort, safety and with a light and airy cabin. The tailgate opens on a hinge meaning loading passengers and dogs, with the aid of a rear step, is a breeze.Out on the road, the petrol engine is a joy – the added benefit of a Weber carburettor affords more power over standard, and the added benefit of a renewed ignition system gives the best possible chance of reliability. Michelin 4×4 750 tyres give additional gearing over standard and superior road holding. Servo brakes means it stops well too & all that deluxe trim drops the noise level further. Coupling the looks and driving experience together, we struggle to remember at HQ a better period experience drive in recent times. In summary then, if you are looking for a Series 3 Land Rover which can carry the whole family in safety and relative comfort, with the added benefit of MOT and Tax exemption, alongside classic insurance, then this could be for you. The added bonus of that desirable colour scheme and canvas which can be rolled up or removed means you are sure to cause a stir at your local car show, the pub, down the beach or just when you are pottering around town.Priced at £21, 995
