Seller's comments about 1975' Land Rover Series III

For sale, through JOHN BROWN 4X4 LTD, Land Rover Series 3 Ragtop in Limestone (1975).Diesel 2286cc. MOT & Tax Exempt. Deluxe Seats. Rear Bench Seats (6 Seater). Stereo & Speakers. Cubby Box with Cup Holders. Recent Canvas with Side Windows. Rear Mud Flaps. Tow Bar. Rear Step. Free Wheeling Hubs. Bonnet Mounted Spare. Defender Mirrors. Recent Bumper. KUMHO Road Biased 700 Tyres. We are delighted to present for sale this 1975 Land Rover Series 3, finished in the popular and rarely seen Limestone colour scheme, along with canvas with side windows.Externally, as the photos show, there are lots of period features – the vintage number plates, bonnet mounted spare, rear mud flaps, rear grab handles, recent bumper, colour coded lamp surrounds, road biased 700 tyres for superior road holding & improved gearing – etc etc. There are plenty of upgrades you’d hope to see too – the tow bar to allow towing, rear step to allow easier passenger loading, the defender mirrors for superior visibility whilst driving and uprated modern halogen headlights rather than sealed beam for improved night driving. We rarely see the original Limestone colour scheme at HQ, and we hope the photos do justice to the stunning looks – it really is a show stopper which, based on the public’s reaction on our test drive route, goes down a treat! On the inside, there are two front deluxe seats, along with deluxe matting to the footwells. The centre seat has been replaced with a central cubby box with cup holders (handy for the drive through) & also includes a stereo and speakers with Bluetooth and USB charging – extremely welcome to play your tunes as you drive along. The rear houses a pair of twin bench seats with a mat to the floor area – this brings seating for six including the driver… with the canvas having side windows, there is a light and airy feel – almost like a station wagon…. the added bonus is the ease of checking blind spots whilst driving for the person behind the wheel too. Should you be a customer who is used to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto – for £495 this can be added via a centre touch screen mated to the stereo – just ask.Out on the road, this Series 3 drives just as it should – the diesel engine fires up with minimal glow and benefits from a recent injector pump – thanks to free wheeling hubs and larger wheels and tyres, revs are reduced at speed and the best possible fuel economy is achieved – it delivers a pleasing period enhanced drive. In summary, if you are looking for an MOT & Tax Exempt Series Land Rover for all the family, then this could be for you. With the added benefit of classic insurance , it should prove to be cost effective in the longer term too.Priced at £19, 995
