Seller's comments about 1983' Land Rover Series III

This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, Online Auction - 30th October on Thursday the 30th of October. Background:The Land Rover Series 3, produced between 1971 and 1985, represents the final evolution of the original Land Rover line before the arrival of the 90 and 110. Retaining the classic utilitarian charm of its predecessors, it benefited from a number of refinements including a revised dashboard, improved gearbox and upgraded electrical system. The short-wheelbase 88" Truck Cab model combined practical open-bed load space with the versatility and off-road capability that defined Land Rover’s enduring reputation. The Car:Registered in 1983, this Land Rover Series 3 88" Truck Cab presents as a wonderfully original example, complimented by a comprehensive history file. The documentation includes numerous bills and receipts totalling thousands of pounds, previous MOT Certificates dating back to 1989, a photographic record of a strip-down, a Heritage Certificate, the original sales invoice and Land Rover handbooks.Recently, the vehicle has benefited from a replacement galvanised chassis along with a host of service items, including new brakes and parabolic suspension for improved ride quality. The 2, 286cc petrol engine runs smoothly and has been recently serviced.Finished in its original Bronze Green paintwork with contrasting black vinyl seats, the Land Rover retains its pleasingly authentic British appearance. The bodywork has been deliberately preserved in its original state, displaying the light patina and minor marks that speak to its working past and contribute to its unmistakable character. It features a ¾-tilt mounted on a galvanised frame and wears a recent set of 6. 00 x 16 tyres. This example is MOT, tax and ULEZ-exempt and is a wonderful opportunity to own an iconic British classic that remains ready for use and has the spirit and simplicity of the original Land Rover design.Location: LeicestershireSeller: TradePhotography: Professional
