Seller's comments about 1953' Land Rover Series One 80 Minerva
Great investment opportunity with Classic LRs rising fast in value.
This would make a great military show vehicle, as ex-Belgium Army. Below average mileage and just 4 owners. Excellent chassis and bulkhead and complete with all paperwork from previous Belgium owner - a must to UK register with DVLA.
For sale: 1953 Land Rover Series One 80 inch. One of the batch of just 3500 provided to the Belgium Military as CKD-vehicles. This is a very nice runner in road worthy condition. It has the original red military engine, the 2 litre Land Rover Series One Siamese bore, complete with all original running gear. Drives very well. Engine starts on the button, gearbox is really smooth, and the clutch and brakes work very well. Will need a good service, and a replacement water pump, as the current one has a slight weep.
Chassis is in excellent condition given age of vehicle. Comes complete with all registration paperwork from the previous owner, including last Belgium MOT (far stricter than UK) test certificate. A rare find with early Series One LRs and Minerva's in such high demand. Can be viewed near Goudhurst in Kent by appointment only.
20% deposit to be paid by bank transfer within 24 hours of winning bid. Balance then to be paid in cash or via bank transfer prior to collection. To be collected from Kent within 10 days of purchase. Nova registered, so ready for new buyer to apply to DVLA for new UK registration.
