Seller's comments about 1957' Lincoln

US luxury at its best | Condition grade 2 | Rare custom-madeFor sale is an exceptional Lincoln Premiere Landau Hardtop built in 1957, one of the most impressive luxury vehicles in American automotive history. This vehicle combines iconic 1950s design with superior technology and equipment that was far ahead of its time. The Premiere Landau (the magnificent curved lettering on the C-pillar cannot be missed) was introduced in 1957 and represented the crowning achievement of the Lincoln model range: four-door hardtop sedan without a B-pillar, huge panoramic windows, dramatically sloping tail fins and a presence that cannot be overlooked!History & Condition Austrian historical registration Previous Danish pre-registration Estimated condition grade 2 (according to Classic Data assessment) Extremely well-maintained overall condition No repair backlog, immediately ready to drive and available! Particularly noteworthy is the extremely rare version with skylight (sliding roof). This model was custom-made (in very few quantities) exclusively by a Danish dealer as a customer request. According to information, only a few of the 1957 Premiere were converted with this option - a real rarity even among Lincoln connoisseurs. Engine & technology V8 engine with 6.0 liter displacement and 304 SAE HP Very likely Matching Numbers: Engine number corresponds to the chassis number Automatic transmission completely overhauled Vacuum windshield wiper converted to electric operation Technically, the car is in very good condition. The brake system was completely overhauled and converted to disc brakes with a dual-circuit system - a significant increase in safety while being fully suitable for everyday use. Restoration & Investments After being imported from Denmark in 2017, the Lincoln was extensively partially restored. Over € 30,000 was invested, most of which can be proven by invoices. Extract of the work: - Overhaul of automatic transmission - Partial chrome plating / new chrome plating - New radiator network - 2.5 inch stainless steel exhaust system including new mufflers - Conversion of drum brakes to disc brakes (dual circuit) - Overhaul of water pump - 4 new Avon whitewall tires - New shock absorbers - Retro radio (Bluetooth/USB/Aux/SD/ CD) - Various technical detail workThe car was completely dismantled, rust removed and repainted in a top paint shop. Color & interior True to original two-tone factory color in "Saturn Gold", newly painted in Austria Leather interior in "White & Yellow", as delivered from the factory Rare, true to original hub caps with gold leaf stars The chrome is overall in good to good condition: trim strips and other small parts are mostly re-chromed, except e.g. bumpers a little patinated.Equipment (ex works!)Electrically adjustable seatsElectric windowsPower steeringPower brakesRadio, ventilation, horn, ...and especially with a sunroof - everything works. Even the original board manual (operating instructions) is available. This Lincoln is a ready-to-use classic in a very well-maintained condition. With 6 full-size seats, it is the perfect family cruiser, ideal for trips, events or stylish long distances. A rare 1950s luxury liner with an impressive appearance, fascinating history and very good collector potential. Availability: immediately Purchase price: € 42,900 Vehicle location: Wels (Upper Austria / Austria) (International vehicle transport possible) The vehicles we offer are with the owners and are still being driven. We therefore ask that customers always arrange appointments in advance by telephone for any viewings. Insurance option: Liability and classic car insurance. Other: Brokerage sale on behalf of the customer (sale from the owner without warranty). The mileage is read from the speedometer and may vary as the Lincoln is currently being driven and there is no verifiable engine history. Due to the low mileage, it can be assumed that this was reset as part of a previous engine overhaul, which was quite common. Would you like to buy or sell a classic car, are you one of the customers who receive our information about new arrivals first, or are you looking for a special vehicle?
