Seller's comments about 1978' Lincoln Continental

This 1978 Lincoln Continental is a rare two-door treat. Its a two-owner car from the end of an era where we built cars that owned the road. And with V8 power, a plush A/C interior, and a terrific style that barely fits in a zip code, this has an irresistible preserved presence. This is a two-owner car that has been under long-term care for over 35 years. So the well-creased body panels that make this Lincoln look so premium have been properly respected to retain their upper-class crispness. We like the two-door coupe from this era. Its not a popular Mark V, which makes this the rarest of the Continental series. More than just rarity, this is for lovers of a more formal design. The roof line has a more upright design for a more established style, and its especially noticeable with the clean full blue vinyl top. The Polar White paint is original in many places, and so it will show some are. We like that it helps tell this low-owner cars story, but the value price also leaves room in your budget for a respray. And no matter your plans for this coupe, theres an attractiveness in how the fundamentals look so good. This means the hidden headlight doors line up nicely, the Rolls-Royce inspired grille shines bright, the full trim looks complete, and the classic wheel covers have a smooth elegance. The light blue roof looks distinctive on the exterior, and its a preview of the elegant Wedgewood Blue interior. The low odometer is believed to represent the full actual mileage, and so less driving also means less seat time. Thats how you get a nice preservation on the pillow-top velour upholstery. And the side panels, carpet, steering wheel, dash, and headliner are all done to coordinate. There are even terrific classic details like plenty of wood-like trim and plenty of individual lights to greet you when the door opens. While this Lincoln is quite vintage, it also knows how to continue to be a proper cruiser. Thats because many of the classic features have a modern appeal. The power windows, AM/FM stereo, fold-down armrest in both rows, and cold-blowing air conditioning keep you and your passengers happy. Theres even cruise control for long-haul comfort. Under the hood is Lincolns hardy 400 cubic-inch V8. This one looks very stock, but there have also been good investments in the right areas, including newer belts and hoses. Topped with a four-barrel carburetor it has the right torque to correctly move this coupe. Add in a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and Lincolns famously supple ride, and youll be ready to eat up the miles in this classic. Complete with owners manual, this coupe has been properly appreciated by two owners thus far, and so you can see this crisply presented Lincoln commands your respect. Call today!!!
