1972' Lotus

It is with great pleasure that we can bring to the market this lovely Lotus Elan Sprint FHC finished in the classic Gold Leaf Team Lotus colour scheme or Carnival red over Cirrus White.
This car was built in November 1971 for the UK market and was first registered at the beginning of 1972.
The first few services carried out (at 500 and 2200 miles) took place in the UK. At this point the owner emigrated to New Zealand in 1973 he made sure the car packed its bags and came too. There is stayed until 2018 when it was brought back to UK shores.
The current displayed mileage of 92, 564 is supported by a comprehensive service record including the original service book complete with multiple stamps, hundreds of parts and service invoices and a fascinating notebook started in 1997 where previous owners recorded mechanical works, experiences with the car and even lap times when the car competed in classic time trials. Also noted is a compete rebuild @77, 000 miles between 2005 and 2007, after which the car has seen a much more sedate usage. The quality of that restoration is displayed by the excellent condition the car is in today, all the parts used in the restoration were purchased from a UK specialist and shipped out to New Zealand at great expense.
Importantly for any sports car (Especially one with a Lotus badge) the car drives beautifully, revs freely and is an absolute pleasure to drive.
