Engine has just been fully rebuilt by Caunaught Engineering and has only covered 100 miles since the car has been recommissioned. The engine bay was fully refurbished whilst the engine was removed and looks like new, see pictures. Other Work Carried Out: Four speed gearbox stripped down and now has new bearings and seals fitted.
Drive shaft, new bearings fitted.
Rubber doughnuts and driveshafts replaced the modified CV drive shafts from kelvedon Lotus. New air filters. (Original one supplied with the car) Upgraded wider radiator with twin cooling fans, no overheating issues any more. Four new tyres New battery Wheel spinners re-chromed
Bodywork - The car looks great in the pictures but up close there are marks, chips and would benefit from a respray in the future to take it to an A1 condition. Personally I prefer it like this as it’s more usable, as the car is use every weekend.
Lots of history and paperwork for the car.
Car always garaged and keep under a dust cover. (both garage and outdoor covers included)
This car always turns heads and people stop me to ask about it.
Reason for selling, is to buy more modern Lotus to undertake some road trips in the near future, I’ll be sorry to see it go but it’s not the car for long trips and now with the new engine and drive train, it’s a ideal time to pass it on. These cars are rapidly going up in value. Tax except Mot except Cheap classic car insurance
