Lotus Elan +2 S 130In Lotus Yellow with a silver roof and a black interior.In fine order throughout, this beautiful Elan S130 has been rebuilt throughout by a local enthusiast who had his own engineering company for many years, and who has built and restored some lovely cars.Whilst the amount of the work carried out is too great to list here, the extensive history file details the following;Lotus was restored using a new Spyder chassis and the suspension, the braking system and running gear components were replaced or overhauled. Tony Thompson adjustable dampers and springs are now fitted and the suspension is Polybushed. The driveshafts are Mick Miller items. Yokohama Advan HF tyres were fitted to the reconditoned alloy wheels.The twin cam engine was rebuilt about 4, 000 miles ago and runs sweetly. The Dellortos were overhauled, The Distributor Doctor rebuilt the Lucas distributor and electronic ignition was fitted. A Hi Torque starter was used and a thorough service was carried out. An aluminium radiator and cooling fan were installed.A full strip down of the body was carried out and it was taken back to the gel coat. Some minor damage to the boot lip was rectified, the body was prepared and then fully repainted in Lotus Yellow with a silver roof.Inside, a new headlining and carpets went in with new seals and felt fitted where needed. The dashboard is original as are the seats which are excellent. New seat belts went in.A Spyder electric operation conversion was used for the pop-up headlights and the electrical system was attended to and upgraded where necessary.Every part of the rebuild is documented in the large file an there is also a lot of history from the previous owner who bought the Elan in 1981.This 130S is in beautiful condition, the extensive rebuild is fully noted and it has been in long term ownership from 1981 until 2022.A lovely Elan.Please visit our website for more picturesWe answer all enquiries.
